In the Blood, Documentary
A father and son duo with working class origins, continue the tradition of capturing Maine in a continuum of art stretching back decades. Expressing the hardscrabble life of residents in Maine, Philip and Matt intertwine their subjects with the rugged beauty and aesthetic of granite lined shores and jagged pine forests. Imbuing their own experiences of these dangerous and difficult professions, they lend a level of authenticity to the subjects and art they represent, being of it, rather than consuming it as voyeur.
In Progress, Unnamed, Documentary
Art is a lifelong passion for few, and at 90 years old, this artist has found himself viewing the world through his own artistic lens for 80 years. With a love of art, and a compulsion for the creation of painting, this Scotsman found himself living the life of the starving artist in his youth on the streets of Soho, London, only later to call the rugged granite lined coast of Maine his home and Muse.
